GAINESVILLE—Now it’s coming apart for the University of South Florida Bulls.
The Florida Gators have scored three unanswered touchdowns, the latest a 4-yard run by RB Mike Gillislee and they lead USF 21-7 with 4:44 remaining in the third quarter.
You can point to two critical mistakes (B.J. Daniels’ interception late in the half, Demetris Murray’s lost fumble in the third quarter) that led to a pair of Gator touchdowns. But it also appears that Florida’s talent level and superior depth is beginning to take over.
The Bulls now have an uphill climb in a game they largely controlled for much of the afternoon.
