Former Armwood kicker Wesley Skiffington had a record-setting performance for Stony Brook on Saturday.
Skiffington, a redshirt freshman, established school records for field goals in a game (four) and points by a kicker (16) in the Seawolves’ 52-15 win over Presbyterian. Both of those records also tied Big South Conference records. For his effort, Skiffington was named the Big South Conference’s co-Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season, and he also was named one of the College Sporting News’ National All-Stars, according to a Stony Brook athletics department press release.
Skiffington connected on field-goal tries from 22, 22, 37 and 38 yards. He is a perfect 8-for-8 on field-goal attempts this season.
