A season after backing up current South Carolina running back Jarvis Giles at Gaither in 2008, Cary White had a break-out season last year at Sickles, leading the county with 1,594 yards and 13 touchdowns for an average of 7.1 yards per carry and roughly 145 yards per game. Of his 223 carries, White fumbled just three times and lost only two, en route to helping to Gryphons reach the postseason for the third time in school history with a program-best 8-3 record.
This season, White hopes to defend his rushing title and then some. Click here to view a video of White talking about the upcoming season.
