Sickles’ Valder picks Florida Gulf Coast

Sickles diver Alex Valder has signed with Florida Gulf Coast University.
Valder also had interest from Western Kentucky, Maryland and Buffalo.
Last year, Valder placed sixth at the state meet in Orlando. She was also a three-time district champion, a four-year regional qualifier and two-year state qualifier.
Valder’s points at the state meet helped the Gryphons finish fourth overall in the girls team standings, the best finish in school history.
