Members of the Sickles softball team, and some of the classmates, crammed into a conference room to celebrate the achievements of two of their own.
Danielle Rowe and Chelsea Oglevie signed their college letters of intent during a ceremony at the school on Friday. Rowe will be playing at Hillsborough Community College and Oglevie at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.

Playing for Alonso last season, Rowe had a .319 batting average.
“I like the closeness of home and the coaches there,” Rowe said of her decision to pick HCC. “I think they’ll play me at either shortstop or second base.”
Oglevie, a Tampa Tribune All-County and Western Conference selection, went 10-2 on the mound last season with a .96 ERA, 54 Ks, 16 walks and two shutouts for the 20-5 Gryphons.
“It’s been my dream my whole life, so I’m really excited,” Oglevie said. “SCF is so homey. When I went there to visit, I just felt like I was at home. The team is really close together and the coach understood me.”
