Sickles starting quarterback John Melvin Hendrick is doubtful for the first round playoff game against Armwood with a wrist injury that sent him to the hospital Friday night.

Hendrick left the Gryphons game against Wharton at halftime with what was described as a dislocated growth plate in his non-throwing hand. The junior ran in for a touchdown and threw for 87 yards before the injury occurred.
Sickles coach Pat O’Brien said Hendrick, who has thrown for 888 yards and 10 touchdowns and rushed for five touchdowns, will be examined by a doctor on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
