Here is the way I see it…...new coach, new system, new QB recruit who is maybe more to the liking/style of the new staff, young incumbent, young incumbent who is hurt, young incumbent who is hurt and won’t play in Spring Game.
Here comes the competition between Landi, Daniels and Gunsby…..and because it will be a new system, Landi will have a slight advantage due to maybe playing QB in the Spring game.
Holtz will get the best guy in there, who can run his O most efficiently….no one is safe and I like it! Maybe we won’t get all those concentration/penalty mistakes….you and your job are expendable!

First, a scrambling QB is fun to watch, except when you realize that he isn’t reading the defense and he’s not seeing open players or he’s not taking the easy 5 yard run. Second, new coach = all bets are off as far as starters. Holtz didn’t recruit most or any of our current players, so only the best of them will “survive.” I’m okay with that. I would love to be like Cincy as far as QB, where there are 3 or 4 and they are ALL good enough to start! Competition usually makes everyone better.

Scott, I was wondering about TPWGOCF (The Player Who Got Our Coach Fired). Genshaft says he’s safe, and Holtz says he will get a fair shot at playing, but there is NOTHING that says 50,000 obnoxious fans in the stands will not be chanting his name and saying he sucks the entire game, especially if we lose a few games. I would think he would NOT be playing this season. Any thoughts?
