Shields rebounds

KISSIMMEE—Rays RHP James Shields rebounded with a 1-2-3 seventh inning. We go into the eighth inning with the Rays still tied 3-3 with the Houston Astros. It appears Shields is done for the afternoon. Dale Thayer is warming in the Tampa Bay bullpen.
There are wholesale changes in the Rays’ lineup—CF B.J. Upton, 1B Carlos Pena, 3B Evan Longoria, LF Pat Burrell and RB Ben Zobrist have retired to the clubhouse—so if there is a late hero, it may be an unknown one.
