MOBILE, Ala. – Names are starting to surface in the Bucs search for a quarterbacks coach to guide Josh Freeman.
The most notable so far belongs to Terry Shea, who has worked as a quarterbacks coach with the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams and is no stranger to Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman.
As a consultant last year Shea worked with Freeman and Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford prior to their being selected in the first round of the 2009 draft.
Shea was a quarterback during his college days at the University of Oregon and he has head coaching experience from stints at San Jose State (1990-91) and Rutgers (1996-2000).
Shea also has experience running an NFL offense as he spent the 2004 season. His last job in the NFL was as quarterbacks coach with the Rams in 2008. He has been working as a quarterback consultant ever since.
