The SEC is starting to catch up with the ACC in recruiting Anthony Chickillo.
South Carolina became the latest Division I school to offer the Alonso defensive end a scholarship. The Gamecocks made the offer Wednesday morning. They join Florida, Florida State, Duke, North Carolina and Miami, among many others.
Chickillo led his team last year with 12.5 sacks. He was recently named to the U.S. Army All-American National Combine first team for defense following his performance at a drills competition last month.
