Hey folks, hope everyone is doing well. Here are some morning items from The Tampa Tribune/TBO.com in case you missed them:
** Columnist Joe Henderson writes how Skip Holtz is beginning to settle into his new job after a whirlwind first few weeks.
** Nearly a year after boat accident in which three friends died and he survived, former University of South Florida football player Nick Schuyler is hosting a football fundraiser to honor the victims and give thanks for the community’s support.
The seven-on-seven flag-football tournament is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at the Idlewild Baptist Church Sports Complex in Lutz.
As of Wednesday night, 22 teams are registered to play. The deadline to register is midnight Friday, said Dina Tamborello, the event coordinator.
