New Orleans has offered Tampa Bay unrestricted free agent G/C Matt Lehr a contract according to Bob Lattinville, his agent.
Lattinville would not reveal the contract details, but his client is currently considering signing with New Orleans.
Lehr (6-foot-2 and 304 pounds) has been actively pursued by New Orleans and Denver during free agency. Both teams are attracted to Lehr’s ability to play two different offensive line positions.
Although Lehr, a seven year NFL veteran, did not start last season, he appeared in every game for Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay has shown little interest in resigning Lehr for offensive line depth, and at this point, he may take the offer in front of him.

I think it was a joke willy and wayne. He was a good back-up but we have someone younger coming back that fills his same role in Dan Buenning.

2-14 without Lehr? Be Real! The sky isn’t falling.

If we let this guy go we’re going 2-14 next season.

2-14 because the Bucs didn’t re-sign Lehr? That’s hilarious and pretty ridiculous, one player does not equate to wins and losses alone, ESPECIALLY an unproven project (at best) in Matt Lehr. I think the Bucs will survive
