Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Ryan Nece will hold the second annual Mind & Body Clinic for teen athletes 13-17 years old at Jefferson High School on July 9. The clinic is from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m.
According the Nece’s press release, the clinic will feature some of the Bay area’s top strength, speed and agility trainers, a nutritionist, a sport psychologist, and current NFL players and coaches to help athletes maximize their potential on the field, court or diamond. The Mind & Body Clinic is open to all athletes, as the on-field instruction will not be sport specific.
The Mind & Body Clinic will include approximately two hours of on-field instruction focusing on speed, change of direction, hand-eye and foot-eye coordination, core exercises and plyometrics. Following the field instruction, athletes attending the clinic will eat lunch while they hear from various speakers on subjects such as nutrition, mental focus and imagery, and game preparation. The field instruction, coupled with the classroom-style seminars aim to equip young athletes with all the tools necessary to maximize their athletic potential both physically and mentally.
The clinic is FREE to the first 200 athletes who register. Registration forms may be completed online at Ryan Nece Foundation.
