The first quarter is over here at Rutgers Stadium, and the Bulls are probably glad about that.
USF trails 10-0 after a mistake-prone first 15 minutes. USF turned the ball over twice—once on an interception and once on a muffed punt by Faron Hornes—but the Bulls avoided disaster as Rutgers scored only three points off the two turnovers. The Scarlet Knights took the opening drive of the game 80 yards for their first score.
USF looks a little out of rhythm right now, but back-to-back completions by QB B.J. Daniels at the end of the first quarter provided a lift on USF’s current drive.
The second quarter is about to start. Back at the half.
