Florida coach Urban Meyer maked it clear how the Gators hope to beat Tennessee on Saturday.
“To win this game on defense, we’ve got to stop the run,’’ Meyer said after Tuesday’s practice.
Linebacker Ryan Stamper agrees: “They run a lot. I don’t think I’ve seen a team run as much as they do, especially the UCLA game (a 19-15 Vols’ lost last week). That’s all they did was run the ball. I’m pretty much thinking they are going to come in and run the ball, shove it down our throats.’‘

Been hearing a lot about Tennessee’s talent, as in the lack of it. That’s not what I saw Saturday against UCLA. UT had plenty of talent. Coaching? Not so much. They lost to a less talented team. Kiffin’s a punk. A loud mouthed punk. Into today’s society that celebrates punk behavior—the incredibly disrespectful rap lyrics, guy’s walking around with their pants halfway down their butts, chicks all tatted-up, etc.—Kiffin will hit a cord with many 18 yr old recruits, but he’ll never be able to coach’em up, and UT and the rest of the SEC will long for the quiet class and dignity of Coach Fulmer. Go old school! Go having some class! Go Gators!
