LW Andre Roy (bruised tailbone) and RW Jan Hlavac (bruised right foot) practiced at full speed today at the Ice Sports Forum and both are listed in the lineup for Saturday’s game at the Forum against the Capitals.

Hlavac practiced on a line with C Brad Richards and RW Andreas Karlsson.

RW Michel Ouellet (hamstring) did not skate for the second consecutive day. C Chris Gratton (cornea abrasion, right eye) was not seen at the Ice Sports Forum. Both players are said to be improving, but no specific word on how soon they’ll be back.

Also, C Tim Taylor stopped by practice, walking on a cane two weeks after undergoing radical hip surgery. He said his rehabilitation is going well, and that he’s looking forward to the next big step tonight: He’ll try to sleep on a bed after two weeks of sleeping on a chair.

“They said I’ll wake up in two or three weeks and feel like I never had surgery,” Taylor said. “And in three months it’ll feel like it’s ready to go. But you have to wait the full five months [for everything to heal correctly].”

Here’s the posted lineup for Saturday’s game:

Forwards lines:
Vinny Prospal, Vinny Lecavalier, Marty St. Louis
Jan Hlavac, Andreas Karlsson, Jason Ward
Mathieu Darche, Ryan Craig, Kyle Wanvig
Andre Roy, Craig MacDonald, Nick Tarnasky

Defensive pairings:
Paul Ranger, Dan Boyle
Matt Smaby, Brad Lukowich
Dan Jancevski, Doug Janik

Goalies:
*Johan Holmqvist
Karri Ramo

*-Holmqvist is scheduled to play the entire game.

That is really nice to hear that Tim is up and getting around. Sheesh, if Ouellet isn’t that hurt then what is the hold up here? He must be hurting pretty bad to not skate for two whole days in a row! Hope for his sake that he shakes it off soon… Oh well, looks like it’s shaping up to be a fun game tomorrow! GO BOLTS!

Looking forward to the game Saturday night.  Also looking forward to see what Jan Hlavac can offer the Bolts this season.  I saw him play with the ‘Canes in 2003.  He scored a hat trick in his first game with them (against Det—I was there for that game!) If he and Ouellet can pick things up, Brad will do well on the second line and make things tough for opponents to concentrate on Vinny and Marty. I’m really looking forward to the start of the season…Oct 4 is my birthday so I expect a present from the Lightning!  GO BOLTS!!
