The FC Tampa Bay Rowdies will unveil their uniforms for the team’s inaugural season, and the remainder of the club’s preseason schedule, at a press conference to be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. the club said in a statement issued on Tuesday morning.
At the second player combine, held in Liverpool, England, late last year, the side was outfitted by Under Armor in its scrimmage against Wrexham, but it is unclear if that partnership will carry over to the regular season.
The first three of the Rowdies preseason games became public last week, with games against the University of Tampa, FC Dallas and the Philadelphia Union all slated to be played at Pepin Stadium. The Rowdies had previous said they expected to have five or six preseason games in all.
The Rowdies are also appearing to step up their visibility efforts within the soccer community. After an autograph session with Pascal Milien, Adam Nowland and Joe Donoho at the BAYSL Fields in Brandon on Saturday, the club confirmed it will have a presence just inside the entrance gate at Wednesday night’s United States vs. El Salvador game at Raymond James Stadium.
But let’s get back to the uniforms. What are you hoping to see when they get unveiled? Hooped sleeves and socks, in a nod to the original uniforms? Or something else?

Great news! I just saw this on your Twitter account. Thanks for the updates! I think hooped sleeves and socks—if done well—would be cool and set the team apart. Any news on a sponsor for the jersey? I was hoping for Publix or Yengling, but with the current partnerships, Bern’s, Saddlebrook and Mainsail would make a lot of sense.

I would love to see hoops on their uniforms but it doesn’t have to be their home or away kit. It could be their third/alternate jersey. As long as they have a throwback game like the Bucs had this past year. That would be great!

I would like to see hoop socks…but thats it! While it should be important to remember the past, I hope this team will forge a new identity. I would be more interested in them keeping the color scheme as opposed to the old uni’s.
Im looking forward to Wednesday!
