Richie Reay has become the first Robinson Knight to settle on a college football program.
Reay, a senior offensive lineman, has verbally committed to Florida International, Knights assistant Shawn Taylor said.
Reay drew the attention of Florida International coaches during spring practice. Though he hasn’t played organized football since his freshman year at Robinson - when he was a junior varsity player - the 6-foot-5, 260-pound tackle showed enough promise to garner a scholarship offer.
FIU, a Football Bowl Subdivision program, was the only program to offer a scholarship.
