Robinson kick returner/athlete Byron Pringle has made a verbal commitment to Youngstown State and will sign with the school Wednesday, Knights coach Mike DePue announced Tuesday.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Pringle’s only other offer was to Bethune-Cookman University but DePue says Pringle will be “the steal of the century” for NCAA Division I-AA Youngstown.
“It will be bigger than (former Robinson star and current Kansas City Chiefs player) Javier Arenas going to Alabama,” DePue said.
