Riverview’s Aycrigg gets offer to play at VMI

Riverview coach Bruce Gifford said Thursday that senior defensive end Ben Aycrigg has received an offer to join the football team at the Virginia Military Institute.
Gifford said the scholarship for Aycrigg, who led Sharks linemen with 63 tackles and five sacks, is ROTC based.
Also, Gifford said senior receiver David Ray has garnered serious interest from Jacksonville and UMass, while senior running back Ronnie Johnson and senior defensive back Terrence Carter have been receiving interest from Bethune-Cookman.
