River Ridge two-way player Trevor Hooker will be playing football at the next level after signing a letter-of-intent to play for Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.
Hooker did a bit of everything for the Royal Knights. He carried the ball 26 times for 106 yards and one score; caught the ball 25 times for 277 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively he led the squad with 126 tackles, tied for the team lead with four sacks, caused three fumbles, recovering one and defended three passes.
According to River Ridge coach Tim Stevens, Hooker’s father has family roughly an hour away from the campus and that played a sizable role in his decision.
“I think he’s going to do fine,” Stevens said. “He was our best football player this year and probably the smartest football player, in terms of football knowledge, I’ve had in my four years at River Ridge.”
