Forum: Talk Rays

The Rays opened up a roster spot for Troy Percival by placing Al Reyes back on the disabled list with shoulder tendinitis, meaning Grant Balfour and Gary Glover will remain in the bullpen.
Reyes was on the DL for the same reason from April 16-May 15. He said this time he plans to make sure he “gets it right for the rest of the season.”
Be that as it may, this certainly is not a good sign. Shoulder problems are bad news for any player, let alone a pitcher Reyes’ age, and a recurrence like this doesn’t bode well for the long-term.
