Registration is ongoing for the 2012 Bright House Sports Network Central Florida Ignite Elite Combine, scheduled for Feb. 11 at the Larry Sanders Sports Complex in Tampa.
The combined, which is in its third year, is staged by Big County Preps to showcase some of the area’s top high school football prospects. More than 200 players signed up for last year’s event and an even larger turnout is expected this time.
Players will be measured and tested in a variety of metrics, including the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, short shuttle, 3-cone and medicine ball toss. Participants will be permitted to scratch any testing results if they are not satisfied with them so they are not reported. There will also be 1-on-1 activities and position-specific drills, all of which will be supervised by certified coaches and trainers.
Combine organizers say more than 250 college programs across the country will receive testing results from this event.
Registration is $45. To sign up, please follow this link: http://bigcountypreps.com/180/2012-ignite-registration/
