Senior Nick Wing-Holt wanted to leave his mark on the Bloomingdale High School diving program and in one week he certainly has.
Last Wednesday, Wing-Holt set a new boys school record for an 11-dive meet with a score of 497.7 at the Western Conference Diving Championships. On Tuesday night, Wing-Holt also claimed the six-dive record with a score of 289.75 in a meet against Jesuit.
“Ever since I got to the school I really wanted to break the record,” Wing-Holt said.
Next up for Wing-Holt are districts, regions and almost certainly state. He medaled at last year’s state competition, finishing eighth. He’d like to finish in the top three this year.
