PORT CHARLOTTE We will hear later today from reliever J.P. Howell on the shoulder woes that will keep him sidelined for at least the first month of the season.
We’ll also learn more from manager Joe Maddon and VP of baseball Andrew Friedman on what Howell’s injury means to the bullpen.
Right now, the sun is shinning and the Twins headed to Charlotte Sports Park for their second trip to Port Charlotte this week.
After back-to-back night games, Maddon canceled batting practice this morning. His lineup looks more like a split-squad lineup. Almost all of the regulars have the day off.
