ST. PETERSBURG - Which Rays team will show up this afternoon? The offensively challenged squad that lost Friday? Or the 14-hit attack that won Saturday?
We’ll find out in a few hours.
Rookie Jeremy Hellickson makes his third big league start as the Rays try to take the series against the last-place Orioles.
Some news on the injury front:
Jeff Niemann and Wade Davis will throw bullpens Monday afternoon. How they come out of those will determine how quickly they return to the rotation.
Carlos Pena is getting three at-bats and playing first base this afternoon for the Class A Charlotte Stone Crabs. Rays manager Joe Maddon expects Pena to be in the lineup Monday when the Rays open a three-game series against the visiting Rangers.
