TORONTO - With the Jays throwing lefty Brian Tallet, manager Joe Maddon has B.J. Upton is batting leadoff tonight.
Upton has looked better at the plate since taking two days off. He is 4-for-11 with two triples, four walks and four runs scored.
Maddon said Upton might see more time at the top of the order, especially if shortstop Jason Bartlett goes on the disabled list.
