ROGER MOONEY
ARLINGTON - The Rays try to avoid only their second sweep of this season this afternoon against the the AL West leading Rangers.
It will be another hot one here at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Temps on the field will exceed 100.
John Jaso remains at the top of the order, but will serve as the designated hitter.
The Rays are also trying to even the road trip at 3-3 and take some momentum back to the Trop, where they begin a six-game homestand Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton will not play today after receiving a cortisone injection in his right knee after Saturday’s game.
