Rays to deal for Braves’ Soriano

The Rays are expected to trade for Atlanta right-hander Rafael Soriano, who surprised the Braves by accepting their arbitration offer minutes before Monday’s 11:59 p.m. deadline. The deal is expected to be announced later today, pending physicals.
The Rays will send right-handed reliever Jesse Chavez to Atlanta. Chavez, 26, was acquired from the Pirates in November for second baseman Akinoria Iwamura.
