Rays-Tigers start delayed by lightning strike

ST. PETERSBURG A nearby lightning strike at 6:55 p.m. knocked out the lights and the scoreboard at the Trop and knocked out the TV broadcast.
Dave and Andy were able to get on the air, though.
The lights came back on after 15 minutes, but the start of the game is delayed until 7:30.
It hasn’t been a good start to the work week here.
A direct lightning strike Monday knocked out a set of speakers and caused a loud hum as the other set of speakers picked up the feedback.
