ST. PETERSBURG—The fireworks quieted down as the Rays and Red Sox played a scoreless second inning tonight in Game 2 of the ALCS at Tropicana Field.
Rays starter Kazmir, who threw 38 pitches in the first inning, threw just 12 in a 1-2-3 second.
For Boston, Josh Beckett surrendered a one-out single to Dioner Navarro but struck out Gabe Gross and Jason Bartlett to end the inning.
