DUNEDIN—The Rays sent 10 batters to the plate in a five-run sixth inning, opening up a 14-4 lead against the Toronto Blue Jays. The inning was highlighted by three consecutive doubles—Matt Sweeney, Kelly Shoppach and Sean Rodriguez—that knocked in four of the runs.
We’re in the bottom of the sixth now. SS Jason Bartlett, 3B Evan Longoria and DH B.J. Upton have been lifted from the game.
So we’re heading down the stretch with the Rays leading 14-4.
