TORONTO The Rays will once again try to bounce from a shutout loss this month tonight against the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre.
For those scoring at home, this will be the sixth time this month. That puts the Rays once again on the wrong side of a historical note.
They are the first team since the 1985 Reds to be shutout six times in a month and still have a winning record.
The Rays are also looking for a win to, at the very least, keep pace with the A’s and Orioles, the two teams that currently occupy the two Wild Card spots. The Rays begin the night 1.5 games behind the Orioles and 2.5 games behind the Wild Card-leading A’s.
Here are the lineups:
RAYS
