BOSTON B.J. Upton is not in the lineup tonight, not for what he didn’t do but what he did do.
Upton injured his right quad Tuesday night when he stretched a double into a triple.
How’s that for irony.
Joe Maddon said Upton is available to pinch-hit if needed.
Carl Crawford said his strained left shoulder is no worse after making several throws in Tuesday’s loss. He said he’ll play through the pain until he gets better.
