OAKLAND David Price can tie CC Sabathia for the AL lead in wins tonight when he faces the A’s on what will be a chilly night at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
Price is tied with Phil Hughes and Carl Pavano with 15 wins. Sabathia leads the league with 16.
The Rays are looking for their first win on this seven-game West Coast road trip.
Chad Qualls returned after missing the last two games to attend to a death in the family. Dale Thayer rejoin the team, taking Jeremy Hellickson’s spot on the rost and adding another arm to the bullpen until the Rays activate Wade Davis before Tuesday’s game in Anaheim.
