The Rays beat the hapless Orioles 6-3 on Saturday despite a sloppy night that included four walks from Wade Davis and a season-high three errors.

Here are some notes:

—Evan Longoria committed two throwing errors and has three for the series. It is the first time in his career he’s committed three errors in one series. He also has four errors in his last three games.

—John Jaso also had a throwing error when his throw to second to get Adam Jones stealing in the eighth inning sailed into center field. Jaso is 8-for-55 in throwing out base stealers.

—The last time the Rays made three errors and won a game was June 19, 2010 at Florida.

The Rays 3-4-5 hitters – Longoria, Matt Joyce and B.J. Upton – went 4-for-9 with four extra-base hits, three walks and six RBIs.

—Kyle Farnsworth made his first appearance in a save situation since Aug. 19 against Seattle.

—Upton has five RBIs. His career-high is six, set Oct. 2, 2009 against the Yankees.

—Joyce is batting .349 with six extra-base hits over his last 13 games.

—Desmond Jennings stole his 15th base of the season. It was only his second steal in his last 14 games.

—Since winning a season-high six straight between Aug. 22 and 28, the Orioles have lost five of their last seven.
