Rain, rain go away

Rain continues to fall in Pasco County, forcing the postponement of many high school baseball games scheduled for Friday.

At Zephyrhills, its Class 4A-District 8 game against Brooksville Hernando has been rained out for a second time and will be played Saturday at 6 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for March 9 but was rained out and rescheduled for Friday before the rains continued throughout the day.

Other Friday games rescheduled include Mitchell at Pasco (now March 29, 7 p.m.), Anclote at Wesley Chapel (Saturday, 6 p.m.), Hudson at Gulf (April 6, 1 p.m.) and Tampa Catholic at Bishop McLaughlin (April 20, 7 p.m.).

Thursday’s Land O’ Lakes at River Ridge 4A-8 contest was rained out and has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Also, the Wildcat Fast Times boys and girls track meet scheduled for tonight at Wesley Chapel has been moved to Tuesday at 3 p.m.
