Price to Start At Vero

David Price will begin his journey to the majors at the Rays Class A Vero Beach affiliate. Last year’s top draft pick has been placed on Vero’s roster.
If Price pitches well, the Rays likely won’t be shy about moving him up through the ranks relatively quickly. Manager Joe Maddon has said there is a possibility Price could make his major-league debut as early as the end of this season, if everything goes well. In the meantime, Rays officials and fans no doubt will be keeping a close eye on Vero.
