Baseball America’s list of the Top 10 Rays prospects is out today, with David Price leading the way to no one’s surprise. This year’s top draft pick, Tim Beckham, is in the No. 2 spot with Wade Davis rounding out the top three.
The full list is here, and I suppose the most notable aspect of the Top 10 is Matt Moore and Nick Barnese moving up past the likes of Jake McGee and Jeff Niemann. Of course, McGee’s injury obviously had plenty to do with that, and Niemann has been around long enough now—at the ripe old age of 25—that his name isn’t as sexy as it once was.
Generally speaking, the list looks pretty similar to last year’s, with Evan Longoria no longer eligible but Beckham sliding into that rarefied air.

Marc,
How did the Ray’s organizational prospects rank this year vs. 2007 with this years additions and call ups to the majors?
Thanks.
