Price feels ‘fine’ after throwing today

David Price pitched four innings during a minor league intrasquad game this morning and despite being nicked on his left pinkie by a comebacker, said he felt fine.

The lefty said his right hand, which was bruised and cut near the thumb after being struck by the barrel of a broken bat last Wednesday against the Red Sox, was not an issue.

He expects to make his scheduled start Sunday.

Today is the Rays lone off day during the Grapefruit League schedule.

They return to action Tuesday night againts the visiting Red Sox at Charlotte Sports Park.

They need to take it easy with all the young talent.  Too many young staffs have been over used or too young and dumb to pace themselves and it is a disaster.

I’m wanting to see Price pitch Sunday, the 21st, but don’t want to go to the wrong park. Will he throw against the Twins or the Pirates? Thanks
