Price ($4.35 million), Upton ($7 million) and Badenhop avoid arbitration with 1-year contracts

ROGER MOONEY
The Rays avoided arbitration with David Price, B.J. Upton and Burke Badenhop this afternoon by agreeing on one-year deals with the three players.
Jeff Niemann appears to be headed to arbitration.
Price, a Super 2 player who voided the final year of a six-year contract that was to pay him $1.5 million in 2012, will make $4.35 million.
Upton, in his final year of arbitration, will earn a base salary of $7 million.
Badenhop’s contract calls for $1.075 million.
