Plant baseball coach Dennis said sophomore OF Kyle Tucker has been named the United States U-15 National Team. Braun said Tucker was informed on Thursday and will immediately join the team as it heads out to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for the Dominican Friendship Series from Aug. 12-15.
Tucker hit .379 with 16 runs, 12 RBI and two homeruns for the Panthers last season.
“He can swing it,” Braun said of his outfielder. “This will be great for him. He had a great year for us and this will really help him get better.”
