Plant’s Rowe picks Hoyas

Plant senior baseball player Stan Rowe has verbally committed to Georgetown, Panthers coach Dennis Braun said Wednesdasy.
Rowe hit .375 with five doubles, four homers and 20 RBIs last season for the Panthers, who advanced to the Class 5A state semifinals.
Rowe, a member of the varsity squad since his sophomore year, also had interest from Holy Cross and Maryland.
Braun said Rowe intends to sign with the Hoyas when the regular signing period begins in April.
