Plant’s Martin making Georgia Southern happy

Georgia Southern’s radio station called looking for any information and anecdotes about Plant cornerback Javonte Martin.

Where do you start with Martin, who will sign his letter of intent with Georgia Southern during the school’s ceremony today at 3:30 p.m.? How about how he gave himself the nickname “Lockdown” early on in his Plant career, only to back it up with stellar play?

Martin, a Tribune All-Hillsborough County first-team selection, has been one of the most dominant corners in Hillsborough County the past two seasons and a standout on a two-time state championship defense.
