For the second-straight week, Plant Panthers will be without one of its top defensive players when the Panthers (7-0) take on Armwood (8-0) Friday night.
Starting strong safety Drew Madhu, a Stanford commitment, will miss his second-consecutive game while he recovers from a concussion, Plant coach Robert Weiner said. Madhu sustained the concussion in the Panthers 59-21 victory against Brandon on Oct. 14.
Senior safety David Lerom came in for Madhu in the Eagles game and finished with 18 tackles. Lerom, who will get the start against the Hawks, started in the Panthers 48-6 win against Alonso last Thursday night and was in on several big plays that helped hold the Ravens to under 50 rushing yards.
