Plant sophomore Michael Frazier has been invited to participate in this weekend’s Nike Hoops Jamboree at St. Louis University. The weekend camp will host the top 50 freshmen and sophomores in the nation.

Frazier, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard, led Hillsborough County in scoring this past season with 695 points, during which time team he surpassed the 1,000 career point plateau. He was recently named to the MaxPreps.com Class of 2012 Top 100 to Watch list and named to the MaxPreps All-American Sophomore Third Team.

As a top performer at the camp, Plant coach Mike Phillips said Frazier, who already has offers from schools such as Florida State and South Florida, could receive an invitation to the LeBron James Skills Academy in July.

Other schools to have offered Frazier are Bethune Cookman-College, Ohio, Virginia Tech, Central Florida, Miami, Alabama, Arkansas and Michigan. The schools that have shown heavy interest are Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Stanford, Davidson, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Oregon State, Penn and Harvard.
