Plant’s Ely picks up three big offers

Plant’s Phillip Ely received offers from three of the bigger conferences.
The SEC’s LSU, the ACC’s Clemson and the Big East’s Rutgers were the latest to offer the Panthers quarterback. Ely now has 22 Division I scholarship offers, including Arizona State, Illinois, Purdue and USF.
Ely recently was invited to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game with his teammate James Wilder, Jr.
