Plant coach Robert Weiner joked about playing teams ranked ahead of his to settle the debate over who is the national high school champion.

Weiner’s team won’t get a chance to face off with other teams across the country on the football field, but they will face off in a virtual high school tournament. USAToday and HighSchoolSports.net teamed to create the Massey Virtual Championship, a 64-team bracket of the best high school teams in the country. The same computer technology behind the BCS rankings will simulate a tournament beginning Jan. 4.
The winner will be announced at 11 a.m. on Jan. 9. To see the complete bracket with all 64 teams, log onto HighSchoolSports.net.
