Plant football players plan to honor a teacher who was a big help to them.
Panthers coach Robert Weiner said the team will wear helmet stickers at Friday’s game against Armwood in honor of Nancy Farnsworth, a Plant math teacher who was killed in a car accident with her husband last Friday. Weiner said there are also plans to honor Farnsworth at the Panthers next home game, which is Nov. 10 against Robinson.
Grief counselors were on hand at Plant Monday morning to help students and faculty deal with Farnsworth’s death.
