The Plant Panthers will be without several key contibrutors for tonight’s game against Wharton - but just as a precaution.
Starting wideout Allen Sampson (jaw), starting middle linebacker Mike Mirabella (shoulder sprain) and defensive lineman David Gamble (knee) are the on the sideline for the Panthers.
Plant coach Robert Weiner said the players were being held out, but all three are expected to play in next Friday night’s regular-season opener against Armwood.
